Staying at the Bed and Breakfast

Thank you for making a booking at Chalet Les Frenes in the Chamonix Valley. Please read the information below to make your arrival easier and your stay more comfortable.

Your Arrival

It is important that nearer your arrival date you let the owner know when you are intending to arrive at the chalet. They run the chalet themselves and although you can arrive at any time you choose, there isn't 24hr receptionist and they may not be home when you arrive. When you contact the owner, you will be given the code for the blue ski room door enabling you to get in and find your room in their absence. If you arrive at the chalet and for some reason haven't been given the code for the blue door, call 06 21 18 58 41. This is a mobile number so you can also send an SMS. If you don’t have a mobile phone, you can just walk over to the Hotel Mercure opposite. The receptionists are in general very helpful and will call the owner on your behalf

Cancellation

If you have to cancel, curtail or modify your booking, please do so as early as possible. There is a 7 day cancellation policy and a minimum 2 nights stay policy too. In the event of a no-show the owners reserve the right to bill you for your entire stay

Breakfast and the breakfast area

Breakfast is included in the price of your room. This is served between 8.00 and 9.00 in the breakfast area. This area is otherwise private and not a common room as it is the owners private lounge. You can however use the balcony and garden.

Kitchen

Chalet les Frenes is a bed and breakfast and there are no kitchen facilities. However, you can make hot drinks in the owners kitchen and if you need to borrow plates, cutlery etc, this is not a problem. If you were to make a sandwhich, you can make it in the owners kitchen as this would leave less mess in the bedrooms. There is also a fridge in the skiroom for your use and there’s a grill BBQ outside for your use.

Hot Tub

You are welcome to use the hot tub in the garden. Please inform the owners before you plan to use it so they can explain how it works and how to remove and replace the lid. No food or drinks are allowed in or around the hot tub and in the interests of hygiene, you must take a shower before enjoying a relaxing soak.

Linen and towels

Linen is included in the price of you stay, as are bath towels. Many people choose to bring their own towel so we won't systematically put one in your room. If you require a towel just ask the owners.
